The Canossian School Edible Garden has been yielding an abundance of crops of late. We have had bountiful harvests of long beans, brinjals, cucumbers, ladies fingers, bitter gourds and an assortment of leafy veggies. At Sr Janet’s suggestion, we are happy to share the rich harvest with needy families from the Church of St Stephen.
Since July this year, volunteers from the Society of St Vincent De Paul (SSVP) have been coming to the school every first Friday of the month to help with the harvesting of crops. They lovingly pack them into bundles and distribute them to needy families in Church on Saturday. We are indeed delighted to be able to share our abundance and we hope this partnership will continue to grow and more families will continue to be blessed with our plentiful garden produce!
